Alexandrina Getov was born in Bulgaria, and has lived and worked in Los Angeles, CA since 1992.

She holds a Master of Science degree in Architecture and is one of the principals of the Los Angeles based firm Studio Antares. Her architectural work is preserved in the International Archive of Women in Architecture, and has been exhibited at the Vitra Design Museum in Germany and the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

Inspired and informed by her architectural practice, she designs distinctive accessories using CAD software before the components are laser-cut and assembled like a model. They are made from some of the same materials Alex uses for architectural models: acrylic, wood veneers, and paper. She also incorporates glass beads, leather, rubber cord, silver, and natural stone.

The combination of this architectural design approach and the unconventional use of materials results in the these unique artifacts.
